“That’s why I don’t lend my books to people, because it says too much about me” LITERALLY ME it feels like my personal diary

this was such a gentle encouragement to read with more care

THIS is how you blend classic literature and the sensibilities of modern taste! It doesn’t feel like simply overlaying dark academia and a trending tiktok aesthetic. Kudos to the visual consistency!

Open any book in my library and you'll be able to tell which ones I Loved. I annotate like crazy, but not really in a traditional scholarly sense. I underline, draw, ask questions in the margins, make notes on quotes that inspire me, create poems from quotes I love, etc. I use tabs, I dog ear. For me, it's more to have a conversation with the book. I also keep a reading journal and when I'm done with a book, I'll write down favorite quotes.

I literally just spoke on this idea lol. I also am a slow reader and I enjoy marinating on each novel I finish. I like to dissect the themes and see where it fits in with my own life. I don't annotate in the book but I do have a book journal where I write my initial reactions/thoughts after finishing a book, along with page numbers to quotes that stood out to me.

I annotate a lot. To me reading is a conversation with the author/character and annotating it's like when I say "hell yeah" or "girl...". I only consider the book finished when I'm sure I have clapped (annotated) for it enough.

I love seeing everyone's different ways they show their love for literature.

What a wonderful way to experience books! I often felt embarrassed for not knowing some vocabulary words, só I loved the way you interact with new words! I’ll definitely try the dot method

Beautiful. You framed this in such a romantic and inspiring way. I love your format!
