Cybersleuth was definitively a step in the right direction, it felt like I was playing Shin Megami Tensei, I mean cmon, the style, music and the somewhat dark story really felt good.

This game was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO good. I just had a blast raising my favorite guys and formed a team of 'da boyz' just to save the world and stuff. The Switch version had way more Digimon choices, but didn’t run as well as the PS4 version to me. I still enjoy both, and would likely go back to the PS4 one despite not having the complete edition on it, but either one is something I highly recommend.

This is the game that reignited my love for this franchise, I bought it as a used game for 15 dollars and no expectations and loved it. Like the first day I played I was glued to the tv.

Digimon World 3 back in the day definitely kept digimon in the back of my mind, and cyber sleuth and hackers memory won me over

Cyber Sleuth was my introduction to Digimon, and playing a more plot-focused monster tamer for once was pretty refreshing. Interested to hear your take on Digimon Survive

If the spotlight on this series shines bright enough, we can finally get actual competition for pokemon, since, you know.

Speaking of soundtrack, I noticed early on that you use some from Digimon World 3, specifically the one from the admin building that you start at and the Gondola station between the East and the South Sector.

Mastemon is my favourite, her main attack takes a solid 25% of all enemies current health, regardless of resistances and given she digivolves from ladydevimon and angewomon, you also have some decent aoe or single target attacks in light or dark, plus the healing abilities from angewomon including the ability to revive your allies.

I agree cause it got a re-release in an era where the jrpg crowd got more open up to other ones that aren't Pokémon or even Persona. Which got another game to add to the list, especially with Complete Edition being released on Steam and the Switch.

Lol I had BeezlemonBM who also had a ignore DEf move and that shit was great xD. I love the cyber sleuth games and the Next order took me a while to get really into because the mechanics were hard but with the help of some guides I learned that in order to get the digimon stronger you had to do battles over gym trainning and it had to be done when they were rookies. The other evolutions had stat caps. The digimon cyber sleuth being removed from the psn was such a bummer for me and it solidify my reasoning to always try and get physical games over digital ones.

Digimon was always a periphery series to me. I didn’t watch the anime regularly, since I was stuck mostly with reruns. I did have the movie on VHS and I enjoyed it greatly as a kid, but I didn’t go much deeper than that. Then I got this game and the evolution system was so much fun that I’m now looking for ways to watch the anime, and looking for the card game!
