i don't know why but this track gave me such an overwhelming sense of melancholy that only the end of stage 6 was able to beat
stage 3 is the last album of EATEOT that you can listen to casually

This is the song that plays in your head when there's only a few minutes left on the test and your stuck on question 7 out of 14

I actually really like this song. Seems very mischievous but at the same time melancholy.

This song alone tells a story. I could picture an animated adventure of sorts, something dark, but also rather sweet.

I wonder if those crackles at the end are supposed to signify more and more neurons dying as synapses continue to degrade.

this song has a fantastic story to tell. it feels mournful, like you're saying goodbye to the song, like it's the last time you would ever be able to hear it. the piano slowly fades out into the lonely white noise and it's a gradual but heartbreaking farewell. and then they come back to full clarity for just a moment at the end, giving you brief hope before it cuts off into the crackling 'fire' static, because now the song is just a burning memory, and you'll never get it back

Hard to even believe this same song, two albums ago, had a ton of instrumentals and played so fluidly. Now it's just... This. It's so beautiful and heart shattering.

this song is an example of the person losing a memory in real time. insanely spooky stuff!

This sounds more mysterious than scary. It's like walking in a forest not knowing what you're going to see next. Maybe in an abandoned building, wandering around looking in different places and seeing many different things.

I like this song because it’s really unique. It’s not a long segment of a song that’s played, but it’s not exactly a loop either. Yes, the same notes are played over and over again, but unlike the other songs that come before Stage 4, this one’s effects are not consistent.

When I was in hospital I used to listen to this when my wife had to leave after her visit and I was watching her going through the door slowly marching into the autumn afternoon with me being left behind.

some time ago my music teacher requested every class in school to research some music and it's meaning, and we all had a group. When I proposed the caretaker and its description of dementia to my classmates we made a vote: I was kind of the
