The Kenobi Vader is the same figure as the ANH version. The helmet is a bit better but it's the exact same figure. I do agree that an update should have been done. Single jointed knees and some butterfly joints would have been nice, and as you mentioned, alternate hands for sure. Great review!

Yea, that helmet looks way better. The cape is awesome. Definitely should have done more with him to make him more desirable to collectors that already have him.

How come no ones mentioned how small Darth Vader's shoulders are? It makes his head look massive. Darth in the SW movies had big shoulders due to Dave Prowse's physique.

Kansas here: we finally got some Kenobi wave figs and I finally picked up my first Vader. His cape is so awesome. He is so awesome.

Got him today for £12 and I absolutely adore him. I have a good collection of black series but this is my first vader amazingly. And definitely a good start.

Look at the gauntlets, The stitching is different, ESP is vertical, Kenobi is horizontal.

I think this Vader is the same as the 40th anniversary Vader and the other other single card Vader I did tuck the robes under his shoulder pads and he does look the same as this figure so for those collectors who wants to know if this is the same Vader from before I think he is especially with that left hand It looks the same re release of the 40th just without the orange eyes

Hmm. I'll probably skip this one... for now. Already have the ESB Vader, and they're pretty much the same figure.
