There is also a faction system with the cannibals, where if you kill one specific type enough, the others grow more passive towards you, like fishing cannibals who are in constant danger of every other type. Helping fishing cannibals out by killing the other cannibals makes them less aggressive towards you.

Me and my friends recently played this game and within the first 30 minutes we were actively killing everything in site and eating as many cannibals as possible, are logic was the more of them we ate the stronger we got and the scarier we looked, also them coming to attack us was like ordering Uber Eats so it was really convenient early game
