Learn from my mistake, put your 1st point into melee regardless of what build you're gong for. Most of the early game you'll be doing melee and without it you can't even damage most creatures. Frustrating combat aside, Im really loving the game so far. So glad to hear that elex 2 was announced as well

Love this game. Best part is unlimited inventory space. Hate when games limit that.

Hated how weak I was at first but loved the world. Played more and got my mind blown by the twists in the quests and then when I got strong, I fell in love with the game like I havnt since I was a kid. IM HYPE FOR ELEX 2 LETS GOO

Top tips: the Attributes text is lying, the Attributes have only a very minimal effect (at the early levels) in terms of what Attributes would normally do in an RPG. Normally you'd bump up your STR or DEX asap, and those would make a noticeable difference to your power level as you go; in this game not so, the Attributes function mainly to gate your access to equipment and Training. So save up the Attribute points until you have a clear idea of what "path" you're aiming for (what Trainings, and ultimately what faction looks cool, according to the Training texts). Putting 10 here and 10 there is a waste of time if you expect to see it make an appreciable difference to your power level. Put 10 here and 10 there to get to the skills and trainings and equipment you like the look of.

This game is beyond hard in the beginning. That's why I could never get into it or really explore without getting 1 shot everywhere I went.
