As beautiful as this scene is, it undercuts all of her character development and the theme of the series. Her entire arc, what made her so amazing to watch was her learning to cope with pTSD and accept the death of someone she loved dearly. Bringing the Major back, sort of makes her journey mean so much less. Even still, I cried my out at this

I truly was mesmerized and captivated by this anime so much I watched it more than 3 times. Enjoyed the 2 movies also! Had my intuitive mind always learning and knowing that true love and sacrifice for the greater emotion of it comes at cost when your hide your feeling so much. Until you find that 1 answer beyond obstacles that you know you are or have destined for that 1 person you shared so much depth with!
