SRV is another worldly super human blues guitarist that amazes me every time i see him! Another like him will never come along in my lifetime. Every time i watch him play his super talent brings a tear to my eye, he's that good so he is #1 by far!

All great Blues guitarists. Albert King, Earl Hooker, Johnny Winter, Mike Bloomfield, Buddy Guy and Otis Rush also deserve to be on any greatest Blues guitarists list. There was an incredible Blues guitarist in Toronto, Larry Goodhand, who never became well known. Donnie Walsh and John Bride are also great. I imagine every region has great Blues guitar players.

Totally agree with you man. I saw Stevie Ray Vaughan live in Oslo 1988, and my jaw dropped. I play guitar as well, but i can't understand how it's possible to be that good. He was unique.

On the song Layla, I always say that Eric is the second best guitarist, most people can't agree with that reality. Great slide guitar by Duane Allman. Thanks for the list.

Gary Moore was probably one of the best blues guitarist of all time.

When Jimi was asked " how does it feel to be the best guitarist in the world? " he responded by saying " I don't know; you need to ask Johnny Winter! "

you are the only one who has SRV as no one!!! He is mine too!!!! No one else compares not even jimi  the best performance of his life in my opinion was in Tokyo abt 1980 when he did dirty Pool  Tin Pan Alley.I have listened to it sooo many times. It was like a force of nature took over him that nite!!!Goosebumps everytime listen to it.I luv the fact he got sober bef he was taken in 1990 also.

No Rory Gallagher sorry  to me Rory would certainly be in that list he was an amazing player he was a fantastic blues guitarist one of the very best and as good as S.R.Vaughan, Peter Green @ Danny Kirwan near the very top for me Duane, Gary, Jimi they are all time greats but Rory's my personal favourite.

I could not agree more with this list. Very tastefully done
kimamen1766 (10 hours ago)
Danny Kirwan yes thank you. Always one of the forgotten greats. Roy Buchanan is also someone who gets overlooked. Danny Kirwan would have been in my top three along with Mick Taylor. Thanks for the list

My list, from 10 down to one, but, there are four number ones.
JoeMode213 (21 hours ago)
The fact that you mentioned slowhand without mentioning bluesbreakers tells me a lot about this list.
susangwinn9303 (11 hours ago)
SRV is my absolute favorite also
christopherkibler511 (9 hours ago)
