The moment I saw someone playing launchpad I really wanted to try it, so this is really helpful

Having lite live does get you quite a bit off Ableton standard and suite upgrades too. So if your looking to get the full version of Ableton, a launchpad is a great way to kick start your journey.

I did everything in the tutorial and when I plug my launchpad in no lights turn on the top row. Help please

I think the bad thing about mk2 is his cable, it gets kind of "loose" when plugged in sometimes when you touch the cable it turns off. I don't know if the cable was designed wrong because the right one should connect all and not let a part out, and most of the time (not all) can fall and knock the cable and bend the connector; or get in a way forcing the cable to bend the connector even more Leaving bad contact at the entrance. Well I think if you want you will have to buy a cable suitable for Mk2 but otherwise it is okay to use the factory cable mk2
