Alphys made the smart decision in not fighting the human. Even if she did try to kill at the beginning that would only work for so long until the player/Frisk learns and gets better from the attacks, eventually killing Alphys or Mettaton or whoever Alphys would attempt to kill Frisk.

You get this ending if you kill Undyne the Undying and Muffet basically. I'm not sure if you have to kill monsters in Hotlands though.
