My brother was sat on the first carriage in the first seat. We arranged a trip on The Flying Scotsman for his 40th birthday. I had no idea thousands of people would line the route like this. I cried all day watching these kind of clips with people giving the train a cheer as it went past.

The size of the crowd is almost as exciting as the locomotive, itself!!

I googled the FS but couldn't find simple straight answers to these questions-

I used to watch the Flying Scotsman go by at the end of my grandparents garden in Adswood, Stockport. It was the 60's and 70's.
