Some people are saying that fat people are easy to rescue because they float, have a good point. In my experiences, it's easy to pull a fat person's body from the ground and drag them through the water, however, it's very difficult to swim them back to safety while keeping their head above water (which you are marked on). On top of that, it's very very difficult to get them out of the water (and to a dry place for an AED). Similarly, it's easy to keep a person who's all muscle above water, but it's very physically challenging to pull them from bottom of the deep end. That's just my experiences, I know every rescuer is different!

Funny ending but isn't the point of Bronze cross is teaching you how to save someone without endangering yourself. So therefore option c should be valid

Could you tell me how hard Bronze Cross is? I'm in Bronze Medallion right now and i'm planning on taking Bronze Cross in two weeks (If I pass B.M). I'm not THAT strong of a swimmer (like competitive swimmers) but I have been swimming since I was 5...But I'm not that light or fast...PLEASE HELP! Some advice would help!

I’m about to start bronze cross, I’ve done medallion and I noticed that over weight students get passively fat shamed. I think it’s because physical fitness is a key component and they want you to be healthier and practice.

When I did my bronze cross, they let us decide our victim. Same in NL, they let us pick. I don’t know why examiner does that, pick someone very heavy comparing your weight. Should pick someone the same weight has yours. You won’t lift out a very heavy person out of the pool by yourself. That should of been a practice for after you pass or during the course.
