I do not have any pinecones near me, but i've just messaged a friend who lives near a bunch of pine trees and asked her to collect a few dozen pine cones for me ...... i want to try this !!! very cool. thanks for sharing.

These are beautiful!! and I have a yard full of pine cones!!! Love to try this! I'm altering an oatmeal container to make a fairy type house, and I'm using real bark and pine cones....wish me luck. Descaling??

These are quite pretty. However, it isn't hard to take the 'petals' off the cones. Just pull them in the way they grow.

Tammy...The Flower's were very pretty! Is there a "reason" that you had the RED Netting with them? Didn't like it with the flower's.

They are called scales.
