I can't believe it took me such a long time to realize, but "contrary" means "to be different". The original lyrics was a nursery rhyme meant to mock Bloody Mary for being different than her family, but in FlowerFell it was supposed to highlight how Frisk was so kind to all the monsters who were so cruel and mean to them

Is it just me or is Flowerfell the saddest and best undertale AU.

Maturing is realizing that FlowerFell is NOT a Frisk x Sans story.

This AU reminds me of the hanahaki disease, in which you throw up petals of a certain flower that corresponds to your emotions towards a certain beloved person. The feelings must be very strong to have it. Friendly love is not enough to have hanahaki disease. But in Frisk’s case, she has flowers growing everywhere whenever she resets (correct me if I’m wrong).

Did you know this song is based on the nursery rhyme “Mary Mary quite contrary, how does your garden grow? With silver bells and cobble shelves” and that nursery rhyme is actually based on queen Mary aka Bloody Mary and the silver bells and the cobble shelves are torturing devices :)
