I also agree with what you said from the postgame show last night we neec to prioritize DEFENSE. Turnovers killed us last night . The broadcasters even commented on it when they stopped turning the ball over the game got closer.

It doesn’t matter who stays or who we bring in, if we don’t figure out our ballscreen defense. Need to be able to switch our coverages to put some indecision in the mind of the ball handler, and to take particular players out of the game. We are to easy to play against! (trap, hard hedge, switch, maybe even drop coverage in certain situations)

In last game Illinois looked stiff and indecisive, playing like "I'd better not screw up." (Kylan was the exception). Coach's pep talk--"Force your will upon your opponent. Get tougher!"---was counterproductive.

If we are going to make shooting threes our focal point we should get some better shooters. The 3 point shot is the great equalizer. Outside of a few games we didnt shoot the ball well all season

Great! The team needs mature and experienced players. At time they looked like they were playing a pickup game not protecting the ball which is crazy given its a one a done tourney.
