How Equestria fell in G5: Nobody knows, not even the writers

I can imagine many of these more lamenting songs being sung from Steel Hoove's perspective. He survived the war only to see how, in hindsight, inevitable the consequences of war were to be.

Fallout: Equestria is still, in my opinion, the best MLP fanfic ever written.

This is maybe one of the best portrayal of belic media I've seen in my life.

Personally after reading most of the main stories (original, project horizons, pink eyes, heroes) this song is much more beautifully painful, cos now i DO know.

The first time I listened to this song before reading the novel itself, I almost didn't understand anything. The second time I listened to it completely after reading the novel, I began to understand who was meant and what was going on in the song. It was as if I was reliving the novel all over again!!!

This is so perfect to describe Equestria going to war and what the ponies thought

An amazing song. I absolutely love it, the way it sings about Little Horn, Big Mac's sacrifice, equestrian's discovery of Mega spells and the fact the song writer knows how the war will end. It gives me chills. Once again an amazing song.

Parts of the orchestration are reminiscent of the main themes of Fallout 3, Vegas and 4 and I absolutely love it given the context.

This man’s voice sound like a GOD. It’s so smooth, very well done!

Even without the context of what fic the song is based on, this shows the pains of war very well. (Well, some of the words may give it away, but my point still stands). I may be spitballing here, but this song shows the horrible beginning and the tragic end (in fallout's case) of war. And the singers vocals are perfect for this tragic song, especially when it sounds like he is about to break down near the end. Truly sad and amazing.
