Pete did bet but he bet on his team to win and in every game played his heart out. He never slaked off in games even when he bet on them. Most sports figures have personality problems of one kind or another. The hall of fame is about how you play the game not whether you were a boy scout or not. He deserves to be in.

Pete Rose belongs in the HOF !! He was an amazing player !! He did what he did but he played with all his heart. Who cards what he is like in person ?? All I would love to do is get his auto and a pic with him and shake that mans hand. He got shafted as far as I am concerned. I agree with you 100000% !!

You could see him at Caesar’s here in Vegas counting large amounts of cash for signings. Prices were outrageous..
