High level debate here between two intellectuals who have a strong understanding of what they're talking about.

The LTV assumes that the value is created with the production.

You could say that the area of a building is quantifiable even if you can’t quantify the utility of that building being that length, width, and height. Even though there might be a utility that influenced why the building was designed to be to those specifications, knowing or being able to quantify that utility isn’t required to quantify the area of the building. It would then be an assumption to say that you are unable to quantify the area of a building simply because you are unable to quantify the utility that influenced its design. Similarly it would be an assumption to say that you are unable to quantify demand if you are unable to quantify the utility that influenced the demand.
