I live in Montreal (home of the Habs)where I live 4 minutes from a fresh pita store and about the same distance to about 7 different restaurants that sell Shish taouk anddoner. But AS a connoisseur, I find this recipe excellent. Nice job Mr zz tOP!

Good job man! Only thing I would try differently is to to make the meat into a "loaf" bake it - once it's done baking - slice it thinly and pan fry those slices a bit again and boom - you get closer to the texture and structure of the donair

Looks good, I grew up on homemade donairs, I was hoping you were going to dampen the pita, a lot of people don't know to do and that makes a big difference.

Much like how I make donairs... I suggest 15-20 minutes to cook them... the meat should stay moist then

I make some sometimes in Calgary now finally made some donair sauce and I have mashed a bunch into a burger an rotiserrie the burger.  It does smell good but now I can get Mr Donair meat wholesale for 11 bucks a kg
