I am a white British Muslim revert who is married to a Pakistani man. I regularly fly to Pakistan on PIA to see our family in Islamabad. I just came back from there recently and I have a few things to say about the airline and the staff. First of all the flight there and back from Birmingham to Islamabad was fantastic. The meals on board the flights were so nice and the staff were amazing! The air hostesses and air stewards had to endure customers constantly coming back and forth to the back of the plane asking for snacks and drinks throughout the duration of the 8hr flight, and they were so attentive. Customers are offered drinks throughout their journey, yet they can't sit on their backsides and relax. They have to constantly keep asking the cabin crew for food and drink, and the crew were so nice about it, even though they looked tired from all the demands. They also comforted me during my anxiety about flying onboard the plane and were very professional. I'll admit the in flight entertainment needs to be sorted out because it very rarely works, but the service me and my family received was very good. Also I know that some people go on about their safety record, even about PIA flights leaving the UK being unsafe. I cannot comment on internal flights, but PIA along with every airline that leaves the UK has to go through rigorous checks before it is allowed to leave the ground. PIA has shown to have a fantastic safety record travelling between the UK and Pakistan so why do people say "Oh I wouldn't fly with them from London, look at their safety it's the worst", Perhaps with internal flights, yes. Please give this airline some respect and be proud of your airline. I am. Thankyou PIA and I will definitely travel with you again.
