That’s is great that a staff member taught Tyler how to pull a fire alarm just in case there is ever is an emergency at school or his school field house. It’s also good for the staff to because then they will know if it’s working correctly or needs maintenance.

The speaker near the fire alarm panel isn't working but the strobe is. I think it's because the technicians originally wanted a working speaker strobe near the panel but suddenly when someone make an announcement on the Simplex 4100ES microphone to test the microphone, the audio began to feedback from the speaker to the microphone in a loop which made the sound very loud and could damage the speakers or microphones and might also people's hearing so to fix it they had to disconnect the wires to the speaker but had the speaker wires connected to something so the system can stay all normal. They could've replaced it with a remote strobe but its not really nessacary and they still have the speaker strobe in here just in case if they ever fixed the audio feedback problem on the Simplex 4100ES voice evac system and once they fixed that they can reconnect the speaker near the panel

That's really cool you got to pull the fire alarm for the drill. Disclaimer, never pull fire alarms unless you HAVE permission from a Staff member who knows how to reset the pull station and the system. And of course, if there is a fire, then pull the fire alarm.

Attention please, we are currently testing the fire alarm system, there is no emergency in progress, please do not panic or leave the building, this is only a test. My school secretary used to say that on the intercom before the alarm system was tested.
