i noticed you dont have the support rod that suppose to be across the back of the kayak just behind the seat, it may just be a piece of 1/2 pvc pipe but it keeps it structurally sound cuz i dont have this issue not even close

You installed your custom seat the wrong way. It causes the kayak sides to bend. I hope nobody follow that method of fastening of custom seats.

I think the reason is the weighting center of this guy is not in the center of the boat. The seat is placed close to the back, plus when he sit he lean towards the back. Probably the boat is too short for him.

And bro you are sitting to far back in the kayak to begin with. You are not in the middle, and when you lean back like that, no wonder it's taking on water. Postion the seat in the middle of the kayak.
