One of my favorites. I like how each story loosely connects to the next one despite the differing art styles. In fact, that could be the moral of the first story applied metatextually: That Gotham and the people in it look different to everyone. In the case of the final story by studio Madhouse, Deadshot looks like Alucard and Bruce has an incredible jawline.

This has been my favorite batman adoptation since it realesed. I have seen the "Have I got a story for you" opening so many times, i didnt find its animation to bad, I found it fairly stalistic showing each kids perspective, and the different ways batman operates.

I stumbled across this movie today and damn was it a treat. Hands down this is my favorite animated Batman movie because of the creative freedom in this project. It’s a meaningful interpretation with distinct art and a narrative that is fully aware of the nature of character and the world. The animation is all quality but we really got style and substance here because the writing is focused and the atmosphere is always strong. A real diamond among the rest of the utter crap of the newer D.C animated movies, the only ones that are good are the Dark Knight returns, Year one, Gotham by gaslight (just barely) and the red hood. I can’t believe how little I’ve heard about Gotham Knight when it stands head and shoulders above the rest. Makes me wish that a Japanese animation studio would revisit the character and create a season for a stand alone Batman story.

I didn't know that this is part of the Dark Knight Trilogy, I personally prefer it being it's own thing, and I also like the idea of each story being independent from one another, I didn't noticed those connections when I was a kid, it was weird finding out they were all in the same continuity. This might be my favourite Batman movie for so many reasons, including many of the ones this guy said

When Batman finds the piles of throw away guns in the sewer. Working through pain.

As someone whose very much into animation, the first story is actually my favorite of the film. The art style is so unique, the motion is so fluid, and the gorgeous painted backgrounds make this an outstanding short in all of animation across any genre. Plus I love skating, so getting a Batman and skateboarding story was a treat I didn’t know I needed. I also tend to appreciate unique character designs, it gives the artists a chance to flex their muscles. Stuff like aeon flux were the character designs are extremely stylized is dope, I wish it was used more often.

I always loved this movie too. I feel it’s underrated. It feels like nobody talks about it

I really love Gotham Knight and i'd wish people could appreciate it a bit more (most of them doesn't even know it exists).

One of the most underrated animated Batman movies, I'm surprised it doesn't get as much love as the other ones.

This series was a cool reverse telling of Batman. Starting from Gotham’s perspective and ending on his personal perspective and backstory
