I went to a LSD party and saw a drummer do something similar. He was so high that he spent hours only rearranging the drum set, into an art statement.

Actually really cool. Anyone who likes vibing with their instruments and exploring their limits is all right in our book.

Jaco sat in with my band in Miami 1978. He was incredible as usual, then he go into making percussive tabla drum sounds by sliding both his hands on the fingerboard. It was a very interesting evening to say the least. Subsequently, I saw Jaco a few more times in NYC in the early 80's. He was in a very different mindset at that time. RIP maestro!

That fan at 1:34 is the person losing their mind here.

I saw him do this kind of performance in 1978 on tour with Weather Report. I had a first date that night and she hated it. She was a great woman but we never had a second date we were just different people but Jaco and Weather Report remain in my life today. It all worked out.

the great tragedy is that part of what made Jaco a great musician was his inner madness

Any musician watching this find this strange? Looks like a normal day of me messing with my gear...

I love how some people are able to do this on stage without any care on what other people would think.

The dude screaming at the end....

What he played in music is called harmonics, so interesting, he was the Jimmy Hendrix of the fretless bass guitar.

"Come on, Death, a 4hr bass solo? And on every show?"
