I did this above and it entirely BRICKED my computer, no way to recover, been on the phone with microsoft for 2 hours.... only option now is to reload windows and loose all data. I would Highly ADVISE nobody follows these instructions unless you know EXACTLY what you are doing. Part 1 above erases a MAJOR part of your boot drive, and you go into an endless request for bitlocker that never ends. PART 2 of these instructions, would NOT WORK on my computer. So part 1 erased, and then I was stupid, and rebooted and am now entirely locked out and lost everything.

How I got it sorted in 2024: Go to Control Panel > BitLocker Drive Encryption > Change how drive is unlocked at start up > Let BitLocker automatically unlock my drive > Then restart the device to make sure it works.
