eggman in sonic riders feels like a natural continuation of his character in the sonic adventure ones, back then he was all crazy having spasms and screaming at people, only showing sometimes how much he was hurting on the inside with quotes like "I miss my wife tails, I really do" but now he's a much more calm man who is in a quest for love
