You clean the terminals and cables by removing them and cleaning the metal on both. Then you FULLY CHARGE the battery. Then you load test it. Anything less is GARBAGE and the "technician" is an idiot. This guy IS AN IDIOT!

just curious is it a good idea to do a battery draw test when the car is turned off? or is that too much work? there is a reason the battery died perhaps the truck sits very long times between driving. Now i always keep my car battery on battery maintainers cost about $25 should keep the battery working for a long time.

you should never hit the terminals with a hammer it damages the seal around the battery posts otherwise all else was good

You're quick to pledge your innocence, but you work as rough as guts on someone else's car...

What kind of a mechanic performs a battery load test when the battery shows 10 volts to begin with?

Just use Dielectric grease on the terminals to keep corossion out besides the felt washers

3 mins in...and im already like "tell the customer to show receipts or F off". While there are a lot of shops out there screwing over customers theres plenty of customers trying to rip of shops too.

You can’t test a battery at 10v. You have to charge it first.

urgghh , nothing worse than an annoyed customer with a warranty issue , and no documents or evidence to support it . I used to sell Snap on Tools , and people would bring other tool brands , telling me they where Snap on , WTF

I use a small amount of axel grease on the battery posts, and i have never had corrosion...ever.

This mechanic is an inconsiderate hammer head. I’ll bet he doesn’t drag a battery across the upper cross member, use the painted front fascia as a shelf, and use a hammer to install battery cables on his own vehicle. This guy .
