If the pick guard is the worst thing about them, then great. Buy another pick guard for $5 and be done with it.

And the cost of these guitars is....? Far too picky mate. I have bought Gibsons which have had worse flaws than that.

People who like pick-guards also put plastic covers on their couches.

Interesting fact is that my Harley Benton dealer sells replacement pickguards of all sorts and colors, wich have a much better quality, because they are supposed to fit on the original Fender and Gibson models as well. If you buy a cheap guitar, and it has the sound and handling you like, all you have to do is to customize it to your own needs.

Great vid man! HB 35 looks so much better without the pick guard. Those were horrendous on both the E35 and the HB35. I binned them both immediately.
coreym2948 (47 minutes ago)
the pick guard is your biggest problem? ??.....remove it and toss it like a frisbee.....take that twenty and have a nice one made....because if you can get an es 335 Style guitar that nice for that low price anyone would look a little whiney to complain. ...you gotta accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative.
SaccoBelmonte (51 minutes ago)
big deal mate, is just a pickguard. :)

You said you are willing to pay 20 Euro for a better pickguard. Why don“t you?

I have 4 HB's and I totally agree with you. Removed the pickguards on all of them, It's so weird... I can't believe they cut these manually? I have one that looked like it had been cut with nail scissors.

I complained at the weekend to Thomann about the 'rosewood' fretboards which always seem to be dry. Except for that they are exceptional guitars for the money.
genenery9315 (4 hours ago)
I can live with that.
trappenweisseguy27 (19 hours ago)
You can buy pickguard material online pretty cheaply. Or even better, laminate 3 pieces of veneer together with a fancy one on top for the look of an expensive custom instrument. I wish these HB's were cost effective to be shipped to N. America.

ZMate you are absolutely right. Makes you wonder why the put them on such a beautiful guitar. Well said mate.
