You can save yourself of hard work, and much also speaker parts to unstick them with "Toluol" - an fine solvent for the glue. Apply it all over bonded places including dust cap (nothing is need to cut), repeat it once or few times after few minutes, then all parts would be able almost to raise up - done! Sometime even Toluol will not help much, but apply it more times, or then use your cutter, or sharpened screwdriver to unstick parts - nothing to cut! Begin carefully, then after few cm's it will going much easier. I heard some people use just nitro tinner for this purpose, but I think Toluol is one of the best.

Have you, or has anyone in the comments ever repaired a celestion/ or other, where the cone is so stiff it doesn't move at all? It's actually a G12k-85 from that same era. I got it free, and hoping theres a chance I can maybe repair it.

A decalibrated speaker by dropping can be fixed far easier by fitting a lonh pvc or still pipe on magnet and while speaker plays, trying to punch the pipe with a rubber hamer in the opposite direction of the dropp bent until the basket bends back and the buying disappears...far easier than any other method...just bent the basket back...! Very fast and 100% efficient...you beat with the hammer until you hear a clear sound...cheers...!

Hi, can you change the voice coil without removing cone from spider and frame on a Celestion? I want to change a pair of 8 ohm coils to 16 ohm on a pair of Blackbacks with 1777 cones.
