Biker lore has it the "get back" whip adds 40hp to your ride and gives you 200 billy badass points too!

I’ve been on bikes since I was 5 in 1967,actually since 1964 when my dad took me for my first ride on his’58 Pan . These‘buggy’ whips are a poser thing that weekend warriors want to play with to look tough. Saw a guy with long trailing fringe on his Fatboy have a strong wind push his frills into his front wheel at a stoplight. Thought he was cool until the fringes locked his wheel and he dumped it. Whips are a poser thing. A real rider knows he’s a target anytime he gets on the bike, accepts it,and in extreme circumstances, deals with it like a man.

I work with a police officer his name is Justice Carver. Carver had a road rage incident with a car while he was riding his motorcycle. Carver only got road crash but he learned quickly that you dont road rage with cars when you're on a bike.

You nailed it! Literally an aesthetic to look cool for the scooter hoochies, never seen one used in any sort of defensive manner.. if you get upset enough at a car while riding and you have time to grab that... the situation was not that serious! To each their own, but ive Never even thought about putting that nonsense my bikes, But i also dont wear harley attire , skulls ,or flames sooooo.... maybe im not hardcore enough for that!

The clasp is called a "panic snap" and is used most commonly for hitching horses in trailers. If you pull on the rope hard enough, it will release in the same way as pulling down on the sleeve, although there's a much stronger spring in the rope end. They're designed this way so that if a horse falls in a trailer, the panic snap will release, and they won't be hanging from their halter inside the trailer.

Just carry a D cell Maglight on the bike. And it's actually useful.

Man... These looks like tassles on a little girl's first pink bicycle.

Thank you so much for explaining this. I've been looking for self defense options from my wheelchair and this concept seems entirely doable and adaptive.

Besides I saw a guy had real long get back whip hanging off his throttle side handlebar and when he went to go make a turn he ran it over and knocked himself over and since then I said those things are for assholes

"In california a whip like this is considered an illegal weapon" EVERYTHING is an illegal weapon in California
