i love inventions! cant wait to see this running. I like the idea of pink.lol..but it wont stay that color for long once you get using it. Skateboard wheels: genius.

Pink????  Well, if it works of you, great color.  Very good, clean job of fabricating and Ye, good welds.  Thanks of sharing.

Love the job on the grinder my friend. I'm going to steal some of your ideas to use on my own grinder... Mine will have to be a "No weld build" (no welder) LOL... Hope it works out!!! Thanks for the ideas...Take care...Rod

Hi I live in the UK and this type of grinder don;t seem to be available and what is available will set you back the best part of £2000 pounds crazy price.I like the look of the one you have built well done on that.I am interested in doing a build my self and you say you used skateboard wheels what are the width of wheel you used ? as I would be using 2 x 72 inch belts uk wheel width seems to 46 mm wide. Thanks Paul.

Nice job man but i think you've got the top adjuster wheel assembly the wrong way around. if you put the spring on where you said it will pull the adjuster wheel down correct?. I suggest if you move your support arm more towards the front then replace the moving arm with a longer arm and place your spring on the rear (longer part of the arm therefore having more mechanical advantage) this will pull the arm down and will tension the adjuster wheel up. Then also you could weld a handle on the side of this moving arm which would serve to pull down the adjuster wheel assembly against spring pressure when you want to change belts. Man i gotta say yours is the simplest and cheapest rig i've seen and quite frankly i'm probably going to build one, cheers thanks and happy to help.

Why is it necessary to use foul language?

That looks awesome

that is much better than spending $2000.00.  I built my own and put a 5 hp motor on it because I had a spare one sitting on the shelf.  It is a beast of a sander.

I got 9 seconds in and quit.

pretty cool I agree in not spending if not needed.

Good job . Where did you get your large motor wheel ?
