Very interesting to learn about this area and it's a shame the drought has impacted it so much. It was neat to see the bald cypress trees. I was surprised to see the river totally dry downstream.

Interesting how the dam was built. Surprised that would be considered safe/sturdy enough. Such a shame everything is so dry. Looked like that was a nice little campground, but if there's no water for activities, it probably doesn't get much business if it is open. Thanks for the update.

Thanks for sharing this. The Hill country is one of my favorite destinations on my motorcycle. Sad to see the drought taking such a heavy toll on the people and economy.
