This is a bug known as the bounce bug. When you hit a tile of sand in a specific way, your car launches into the air. If done correctly, this can benefit you by launching you forward at high speeds, saving alot of time.

Very impressive, although he missed one pixel to save 0.01 seconds it still beat the previous wr. Can't say anything else about that perfect uber bug tho

Truly an inspirational run. See, by flinging himself into the air, hefest was able to successfully pull off the airship. This allows you to skip the entire track by leaving the stratosphere and completing the run in record time. This is the peak of trackmania shortcuts.
