it was best in the sense boeing knew what they created.... the landing gear was one of the most safest technologies boeing came up with... it shows here the way the entire energy was absorbed by the gears ... this is called engineering excellence... also an expert piloting i wud say...

first one has to be the best landing i've ever seen on film. to crab out a '74' like that and almost nail centerlinetakes an immense amount of skill, the second one could definitely use some work though ;)

crabbing is when the nose of the plane faces the direction from which the wind is coming and just before landing u straighten the nose so that its on the center line of the runway to land the plane......using opposite rudder

OK.. good landing is the one where you land and you go out from the plane walking... so, imagine what a bad landing is; real pilot quote, so you can imagine what a bad landing is... thats a great landing

kindly note the 747 scraping number 1 engine on TD. SLAPPING the poor bird onto the runway was a Bad Decision !
