I’ve been complaining but if we get 1 more top 6 forward it’s a playoff roster, a 3rd line of Zucker Mcleoud and greenway/benson would be better than anything we’ve had since 2010

McLeod was a part of that ridiculously good penalty kill unit(s) of Edmonton during the playoffs. Buffalo needs help in that department and this trade helps in a big way.

I’m not panicking. We needed a 3rd line center and Ryan McLeod could be just that. We’ve still got a helluva lot of forwards not to mention Helenius. Everyone relax. We’re just gearing up for Lindy’s play style.

Love the pick up for the sabres, huge sabres fan that lives in Edmonton and watched every oilers game. Many teams I’d see McLeod rushing up ice with the puck and mistakenly think it was mcdavid. His speed is fantastic.

That top 6 argument is exactly what I've been saying. There's 1 spot. There's lots of candidates. There's also several center prospects to take the #3 center job down the line. Unless he gets 70+ points all the time will I regret this trade. It's a position of strength from the Sabres looking for a guy right now with no time to spare. It's the right move

Although Savoie was a top rated prospect he was something that we fans have been saying a lot over the past 3-4 drafts, "another small forward". Also, I am the only one that was suspicious about the lack of the top prospects at the prospect camp? With the coaching change, some of these kids in the pipeline might not view Lindy favorably and that also could have had some effect on the entire group.

I think it's a damn good trade! Folks that are trashing it, would complain about being gifted $50 because they didn't get $100. You have to GIVE something to GET something. Period. Lindy is going to improve this team and has massive influence. McLeod INSTANTLY improves the Penalty Kill and the 3rd line. One of the fastest players in the league with size. Edmonton fans are missing him already on the chats. Let's see how this works out, but imho, both teams will do well here.

Hey, go easy on the 5’9” guys. I may be short, but I’ve got about 20-25 lbs on Savoie. 🏼

Jeff Jackson realized you only win the cup if you trade for a Sabre, not sign a bought out one.

Good hockey trade where both teams get what they needed while giving up what they didn't need. Sabres needed an experienced, bigger body player with playoff and NHL experience to fill the 3rd line center role. They don't need another rookie with future star potential needing to learn how to play in the NHL. Win now is the 2024/25 objective and McLeod helps more than Savoie in the near term.
