Even if peak power and torque comes before hitting red line will still be faster. The longer you can stay at a lower gear the better, lower gear=better power to the wheels (because HP is rpmXtorque). Fastest is if you turn vdc off and just leave it in DS.

OMG I know your pain HAHAHAHAHH, everytime I go like buy lunch or something, the fuel needle literally drops. I cannot drive this car without the needle dipping

Let me tell you, I have this same car except 07 and it is totally underrated simply because it’s a g35. 3 Series < G35
