The horrifying thing is that since there are thousands of versions of the lich in different timelines it means that even if the show says the lich is finally defeated it isn’t. If all versions of lich just appears in one timeline everything would be killed. And since the lich doesn’t team a lot more just uses characters it means that after all of ooo is destroyed all of the lich versions would just battle each other destroying the entire timeline too.

the lich always freaked me out in adventure time. he stood out as something so, scary. he didn't feel fully fitting in the cartoony world of adventure time. most villains in adventure time was cartoony and mostly child friendy. the lich however was not. the lich was a true threat. he killed billy. someone who w knew was mighty and powerful. he skins billy and posses the corpse was SO messed up and horrific.

Now with Fionna and Cake, we know that the Lich did infact win in his wish altered reality. But then the question is, which reality is the original? The one where life is destroyed? Or the one where Finn and Jake go home?

The Lich’s new appearance in Fionna and Cake episode 8 “Jerry” is his best since the citadel. If you think about it, that’s the universe created after the Lich’s original wish with prismo. BMO technically wasn’t a living creature, so the wish didn’t kill him, but everyone else is just gone.

He did appear in "Fionna and Cake" and they gave his character a twist. I do think it was a nice sendoff to the Lich over all.

The Lich turned into what he wanted to destroy.

6:50 I think it’s more or less the Lich’s programming in a way would not let him do anything in the time room because there was nothing there that would further his goal to end all life, he could of killed everyone at the party but couldn’t because his mental programming saw that there deaths had no benefit in him escaping or ending all life, it was only when Prismo said that killing his host body would get Finn and Jake to the citadel that his programming said this is your chance kill Prismo, release the prisoners in the citadel, lead an army, and end all life
