When I went thru my ccw training the first scenario is what I was thought. I keep my insurance and registration information on my visor so my hands stay in view of the officer.

Remember - anything you tell the police can be used against you. The best thing for a citizen to do with the police is to be polite and comply with legal orders. Disclose only what is necessary.

I just took a CCW class that was taught by a retired sheriff and he said there is NO requirement to inform an LEO during a traffic stop that u have a CCW/CCP UNLESS they ask. I live California...
