Soooo, was there even an actual security guard? Because I saw the subtitles, but I didn't actually see anyone.

It was staged, and parkour would have been faster. This was nothing more than adaptive scaling. Parkour: nothing fancy, just get from point A to point B in the most efficient way possible, taking full advantage of the environment. Freerunning: focused more on style and performing tricks. Scaling: avoiding the stairs and climbing down a building impractically, which was demonstrated here. If this were parkour, they would have climbed down at least 15 seconds faster. 

I didn't actually see any cops.  And now that I think about it, I didn't see any parkour either.

It would have been much faster if they simply used the stairs.
