I love this lens because of the performance not the quality. It is unbelievably fast, accurate, sharp, within its limitations. Nothing else for this price even comes close. I'm using it on my D3400. If I wanted to pay for a metal mount and all of the extras I would have paid out the big bucks for it. I'll take it up against a $2000 dollar telephoto any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Call me a liar.

Great review. I purchased this lens about a month ago with a D7500 and I've been very happy the results. Fantastic image quality and it's easy to bring along due to its light weight.

vr with this lens is amazing, get very sharp shots at 10/1000 with still subjects at 300mm

Hello I have a question about this lens, when I zoom around when it reaches 200 mm it sounds through the lens one click as if it finds something. I'm not sure it was from the beginning, but I think not. However, there is no malfunction the lens is fully functional. Has anyone noticed it? Also note that the lens has not fallen under me because I look after him too much.
