Booktube-verb 1. To upload a video about books to the video-sharing website YouTube.

Booktube-noun 1. a place where like minded people can discuss their love of books!!

Hi bookland!

I have crossed an ocean of information to find an island of inspiration. Where the trees don't hang with fruit, but with books of all genres. In patches of shade benches grow from the ground in spirally patterns of bark and vine and flowers. Here the native people sit and read stories to each other and themselves. Sharing their favorites to all who wish to hear. This is booktube island. Welcome!!!

"my calendar isn't on the right month." That line alone compelled me to subscribe.

My jaw dropped when she said chapter 3 was 300 pages. Oh my god what the hell kind of time did Stephen King have.
alternative_ASMR (17 minutes ago)
Lmaooooo 23 chapters with like a million little sections!

Stephen King had a hard life growing up and his book reflexes his experience growing up and be an outcast. This is a common running theme throughout all his stories

What a lovely review :) I am from Ireland here and I smiled at the fact that the fictionalised town, Derry, was brought in because there is such a county in Ireland; not with children killing monsters thank god!

I read It in twelve days! My proudest accomplishment. I ended up being busy with work and being sick so I had a really slow start reading the novel, reading less than 20 pages a day, but eventually I just go so invested in the story and characters that there was a time where I read nearly 400 pages in one day. I just convinced myself to forget about my responsibilities and read away. I think that an author that can do that to a person is an incredibly powerful one. King is a genius.

Vlogging reviews is such an awesome idea! I think you've started something here, Missy.

It states the Pennywise has some sort of mind control power that he uses to make the townspeople indifferent the cycle of violence in Derry. Why doesn't the mind control powers affect The Losers Club as well?

There’s an indication from King that the adults turn away or are not able to face what pennywise is. Its not that kids can only see It, but it’s like the adults can’t face what Penntwise is. It’s like adults not able to face prejudice or hate or bullying etc. It’s the kids who are forced to face It.

I just finished this book last night and I'm sad that it's over! such a good read with tons of bone chilling events that only King can describe perfectly. I agree with you 100 percent about the part towards the end that you spoke of with the children in the sewers. that totally could have been left out and was the one thing that I could have done without. Anyway, awesome review and I also like the updates as you're progressing through your journey! take care and keep up the good work!
