The other day I accidentally got ferrovite in one of my ferret's eyes.

As I found out, peanut butter is too high in sugar, as well as raisins. Its best to stick to chicken and meat based treats, like bandits. The sugar gives them insulonmommmaama(I dunno lol. ferrety diabetes)When I found out I discontinued the treats and I buy bandits and those little jerky sticks.

We only give our dookie Ferrovite and he's a healthy, happy fuzzy. In truth, he's not interested in anything but his regular food (45% protein; less than 3% fiber) and Ferrovite. But there's not much he won't do for Ferrovite.

There is in fact a risk that Peanut butter will cause congestion 9in ferrets. ferrets are carnivorous only. Only give them meat and special ferret food and treats. in fact not even the kitty food some people say are enough is not.
