Thank you . Great info of products and pricing. I guess I would say that thickness of paint is not a decision factor for me. Color, choices, lasting durability and price are. Ive tried several brands and find its very important that you use the wax product that is created to work with the brand paint your using. Mixing brands can be disastrous. Behr decorative chalk paint paint and wax products are fantastic! No need for water spray bottle on hand. Paint applies smoothly and evenly. Beautiful chalk paint look but silky feel. Behr dark,white or clear wax really makes the color pop. If you like using paint sprayers for smoother finish all plaint must be watered down including chalk paint. Ive completed several furniture restorations with Behr and are now trusting this product enough to tackle my kitchen cabinets. Go on line to see all the decorative chalk paint colors...beautiful!!

How does the stuff you made at home compare to store bought? Is it worth it to spent alittle more and just buy it? Or are you still recommending making at home?

As anyone who is trying to keep busy during this shelter-in-place time, Waverly products are virtually impossible to obtain. Walmart's website list all Waverly paint as 'out of stock'. I think I'll have to stick with Behr since it's most available where I am. Have you by any chance seen or know anyone who has used Magnolia Paint by Kilz (Joanna Gaines' website)? Wondering if that's another alternative or if it's the same as the straight up Kilz Chalk Paint from, say, Home Depot?

How is the Rustoleum Linen white vs the Behr white base color wise? I have both currently unopened and plan to return one. I want a pure white for a cabinet I want to paint but also worry about being too stark. Originally I got the Linen white but then worried would be too off white which is why I also got the Behr White Base so cannot decide which to open and use. Thanks!

I have some of Behr’s chalk paint leftover from a previous set of projects. I’d like to switch to Waverly. Have you ever mixed small amount of paints so as not to waste any?

I high gloss laminate prefab cabinets do you think I need to prime I plan to do 2 coats of behr and then seal it with Dixie belle gator hide?
