Dexter really was named after the cartoon character. My serial killer I created in 1973 was never named at all until I let people know about him online in 1997. It was then a person online who name my serial killer Dexter that Jeff Lindsay bragged about taking.

That could have been funny too I guess. Trinity might have worked as well, but then I couldn't have switched it back over with the "get out of my laboratory" line.
