Hitlers mustache was an ancient Germanic style of moustache. Hitlers message was one of unity and social dedication to patriotism.

It's not that this movie isn't historic - it’s just that I don't think anything is gained at this point watching or studying it - we already know about propaganda and how it’s used - and it wasn't the first film to do that - so film schools/scholars just seem to be over fascinated with the movie - I had to watch/study it in my film school, too. I think Man with the Movie Camera is more fascinating and without having to revel in Nazi imagery (my opinion).
