Description
Helpful Astrophotography Content!
We are Antoine and Dalia, a married couple who take deep-sky photographs of space from Las Vegas and the Nevada desert. What started out as humble stargazing outings quickly turned into a love (or rather, an obsession) for astrophotography.

Our mission is, and has always been, to help amateur astrophotographers with imaging and making astrophotography easy for all. After many years in this hobby, it's our goal to reach the mainstream, and show the public (and the world) that astronomy is much more than the moon and a few stars - it's exciting and something you can make tangible with your own photographs.

All in all, we're just two space lovers with a telescope looking up.

I think you need to include the cost of your mount as well to give a true measure of the investment needed, otherwise it may give a misleading impression to some folks.

I love that you’re both completely dedicated to this presentation!

i can probably buy a 20 inch telescope by the time the universe has expanded so much that there isnt even anything to look at anymore LoL

I love to see you making reviews. You’re in the realistic category of astrophotography channels. Keep up the awesome help you offer others. An 8” newt is just plain boss anyway for the $. Well done. Clear skies.

I love the tech talk here, and that tripod & mount & weight.

This is a review of the telescope folks, as per the title. Of course there are a lot of other components needed to do astrophotography. If you are new to astronomy and telescopes (which is great!) but you do not know that other components beyond just the scope are needed, you are nowhere near ready for astrophotography. Start with binoculars, a simple refractor or dob, planisphere and a good book or two. Great job G-H love the quality of the work you put out.

My manual, but steady AZ mount cost more than my C6-N F5 Newtonian did by quite a bit. My scope was used and someone had obviously cleaned the mirrors with paper towels (abrasive) and even rubbed some of the mirror off. Bought cheap off eBay.

Great review, I am also an Orion telescope fan. They sell great products at affordable prices and the staff is outstanding. I have been looking into the 6 inch astrograph. You'd probably say for $100 difference why not the 8 inch. I own a Sirius mount and don't want to go near the limit of the weight it can handle and what I can handle. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience. Subscribed! Clear Skies!

I just bought a Celestron 114mm equatorial refractor telescope from Amazon about a week ago and that day I got it up to today Saturday May 16 it's been cloudy lol the days leading up to receiving it in the mail I can see every star possible. I can't wait for a clear night so I can take it outside and do what I love doing ..... Star gazing.

I too struggled to decide between the 8" and 10". I purchased the 10" from Highpoint Scientific and fairly quickly realized it was just too big. The Orion 8" was out of stock at the time but I was able to return it in exchange for the comparable Sky Watcher Quatro 8" f/3.9. I did find that adding an additional handle on the top of the rings greatly eases handling and mounting (you could also simply attach a second dovetail bar on the top). I also found a plastic tote at Walmart that was the same length and width as the shipping box. I simply cut a couple inches off the top of the foam inserts and I have an ideal case.

It was a very good review. Short, sweet and to the point. Also, it was unbiased. Very good.

Awesome review. You are so keen on explaining a lot of details about DSO AP. Very well done. I must say I am a bit envious that you are a couple that do this. My wife would never spend time on it :-) although I do take all the time I need to do it. I got a Meade LX90 10" focal reduced to F:6.3. I am so close to try your option of the Newtonian instead of the SCT, though it gives me a lot of joy.

I’ve always wanted a telescope & after saving for only a few months, with some research into sizes, I rushed an order for the Saxon 150 x 900 reflector. I was blown away by my 1st views of planets but I should’ve done way more research into brands & quality. When I tried to remove the rear cover for cleaning & maintenance, I found out the hard way I’d bought a cheap Chinese made dud! The screws were just for show & the main mirror housing was fixed in place!
