If you're lagging bad, you may want to turn off AA if its on. Also, decrease your resolution.

@mlks007 The full version of Rome Total Realism VII has just been released this week. It does require BI. But that's not a problem if you just torrent it. I highly recommend it though. Rome Total Realism is quite excellent. You can run Europa Barbarorum at the same time. The only one that 'breaks' the game is Roma Surrectum II.
