this is raw when you have the beats solo HD and the the beats computer with the eq its sounds amazing i have it all u all should get it the bass sounds better than the studios

I replaced this sub with an Alpine Type R 12. My Eclipse Titanium started getting cracks on the surround. I guess thats what I get for buying a 2nd hand subwoofer. Luckily they refunded my money and I put it towards my new sub which is so much better. I used the same 1.4 cubic foot box and just made the hole bigger for the R 12.

@krisdooman89 Yeah I know, but my car has over 245,000km on it so I'm not gonna put any more money into it. Sound deadening is the first thing I plan on putting in my next car, along with some Type R front and rear speakers and an amp for those. Future plans are also, 0 guage (currently 4 AWG) split to multiple amps for 2 Type R 12's.

@oesbob The head unit is ok but doesn't have many features. There are only front and rear RCA outputs so in my case, the subwoofer is connected to the rear channel and is not on its own. I would recommend going a model up. It plays great from USB but the random feature is horrible...either listen to the entire song for another random song to play or if you hit next you go to the next chronological song which is stupid. Also only 3 band EQ. Its good if you're on a budget but go better if you can

@Blunty67 I still want another sub but sound deadening takes priority in my new car whenever I get that. That will probably be enough after I do that....probably not though! LOL

@MarkyMarkEckstein because my headlights dim and my battery voltage runs too low without it. The alternator in my 98 Lancer isn't good enough. The cap keeps the battery voltage constant at full power though I'm sure you know all about capacitors already.
