Hey, wanna know a not-so-fun-fact about this song? The girl actually doesn't meet anyone on the roof. She's just imagining different people who each are going through her different issues. This especially makes sense when you hear the last few lines: "Taking of my cardigan, unbraiding my hair, this short girl is going to jump now." The other 3 girls mentioned in the song had either a cardigan, braids, or was short. She was really just describing herself all along. That's why she's so harsh with them and essentially says "you could always be having it worse." She's actually telling herself that. Every time she's about to jump off, she makes up a reason not to and downplays her own pain by calling it "lame." That's why a lot of people think the "R" in "My R" stands for "Reason." The girl gives herself a reason to keep going. Well, that is until the last girl gets there and she doesn't know what to tell her. That's why she's so upset. She realized that she had ran out of reasons to keep going, so she just tells the girl to leave because "It's too painful for me to look at you." The realization that she truly had no reason to stay anymore was painful. That also explains why no one showed up the next day because she no longer wanted to make reasons for her to stay alive.
