Hi! Yes the custom micron range allows you to change fluid head systems and needles from 0.23mm down to 0.18mm and yes as you have said, they're blimmin expensive! I had thought about thread sealant like plumbers mate etc. but being costly I was afraid to ruin the brush! However in saying that, I will be using some plumbers mate because I have a nice new shiny head system coming to me! Cheers for the post!

Yes indeed! I do have an ultrasonic cleaner but people must not think that they do more than they are made to!

Hi dude! Yes it could have been a on removal of the first fluid head nozzle but the airbrush seemed to work fine after the replacement! I had unfortunately been removing the parts for cleaning then putting them back carefully (I thought) afterwards! Now I will not touch the fluid nozzle unless I have no other choice! Cheers.

Bugga! Mine skips like turning a light switch, on off on off on off, very rhythmically. Unhappy bunny, hopefully its only a cleaning issue. I'd be so very sad to have to spend all that on repairs. Thanks for the info and I hope you cheer up duckie.

Unfortunately not! I did fill the threads but the overall performance of the brush was hampered! So I had to get a new head nozzle system - pricey :(

Kirk from iwata airbrush has a great youtube vid on how to clean your airbrush without taking the nozzle out . Sorry I have no link. Look up how to clean iwata airbrush.

Use bees wax to seal the nozzle on the micron

You shouldn't be taking it apart like that there. It could also have been you warped your tip (that part you first replaced) again as well. Iwata parts are also way over priced unfortunately. :/

just wondering, did the bees wax do the trick. had some skipping on mine and i used that purple thread sealant and it has done the job at stopping the skipping.

is the micron one of the models with matched nozzles and needles?. cos those are blimmin expensive, i would expect it being a high end iwata. did you try a bit of thread sealant? stuff's cheap too.
